Fuller Public Library
Home Delivery Service
Fuller Public Library offers home delivery for patrons who are homebound. There is no charge for this service.
Patron Eligibilty: Homebound service will be provided to patrons who are homebound, within 10 miles of the Library or at the discretion of the Director, of the Fuller Public Library. “Homebound” is defined as being generally confined to the residence whether temporarily, due to illness or accident, or permanently, due to age, disability, or other mobility problems.
Library Card Number: Homebound patrons can call the library to register for a card if they don’t already have one.
Requesting Materials: Homebound patrons can call the library (603-464-3595), contact us through our website www.fullerlibrary.info, or contact us via email director@fullerlibrary.info to request particular items or ask for reading suggestions.
Delivery Schedule: Materials will be delivered by a Fuller Public Library employee or volunteer, when available, and will be at the convenience of the employee/volunteer, while taking into account the needs of the patron. Materials may be exchanged if the due date is reached or the patron is finished with the item. Deliveries will be scheduled in advance.
Fines/Fees: Fuller Public Library does not charge overdue fines on materials returned late. However, the library’s standard fee schedule will apply for damaged or lost items.
Renewals: Home delivery patrons may call, email, or contact us through our website to request renewals. Some limitations may apply.
Environment Required for Delivery: Patrons requesting homebound services must provide a safe and appropriate environment for the library employees or volunteers who make deliveries to their homes. Patrons must provide an appropriate place for delivery and retrieval of materials outside the residence as delivery personnel are not authorized to enter the patron’s residence. An example is a box or bag on the porch or other area that is protected from the weather.
Fuller Public Library representatives may choose to leave a property immediately, and they may recommend postponing and/or suspending the service if unsuitable conditions exist. Examples of unsuitable conditions include but are not limited to the following:
- Pets are not confined (with exception of service animals).
- There is not a clear and safe path to the home, snow shoveled and ice removed.
- Any person at the home presents threatening behavior.
- No appropriate place to leave library materials.
Patrons are responsible for the safekeeping of all library materials while in their custody.
Reimbursement for Fuller Library representatives: If the patron lives more than a mile from the library, Fuller Library Representatives who deliver materials may submit a request for mileage reimbursement, in writing and within 7 days of the delivery or pick up.
