Fuller Public Library Programs Guide
Fuller Public Library offers programs primarily for Fuller Public Library card-holders and residents of Hillsborough.
To better serve our patrons, we have developed the following guidelines for program providers.
- All programs are open to the public.
- All rules of the Fuller Public Library apply to the program and the program provider.
- The library staff retains the right to request someone leave the premises if appropriate.
- Library programs are offered during library hours. A library staff member or trustee must be in the building during all programs.
- Programs are scheduled by the Library Director and are chosen at their discretion.
- Free programs are offered on a first-come first served basis, until the program is full. Library staff will work with the provider to determine the appropriate number of participants in the program, coordinate obtaining materials and supplies for the program or informing participants of the required materials or supplies.
- Some programs may have limited attendance. For those programs, the library staff may require attendees to sign up ahead of time. Library staff will coordinate with the program provider regarding dates for sign up, number of participants, etc.
- Some programs will require payment of a fee. That payment will be made to the Fuller Public Library. If the Library is paying the program provider, that payment will be made by the library, not by participants in the program.
- No program provider shall be permitted to solicit donations, fundraise, or sell any item in the Library without written permission from the Director.
- Program providers must have permission from the Library Director regarding any statements in their advertising or meeting announcements that indicate library sponsorship or endorsement.
- Smoking or other fire hazardous materials such as candles, matches, or incense are not permitted on the premises.
- The Library Director has final authority over all programs.
- Failure to comply with these guidelines may result in cancelling the program.
- The Library Board of Trustees subscribes to Article VI of the Library Bill of Rights, which states that facilities should be made available to the public served by the library on an equitable basis, regardless of the beliefs or affiliations of individuals or groups requesting their use.
- Exceptions to this policy may be made at the discretion of the Library Director after consultation with the Library Trustees.
